Description[]
This is the ability to psychically expel a foreign subject from a given area.
Uses/Applications (Pros)[]
One with this ability could psychically expel a target from a room where they are not welcome, at will. In addition, one could psychically expel a target from a building where they are not welcome, at will. Furthermore, one could psychically expel a target from a location so wide as a state, country, planet or star system, at will. One could also psychically expel a target from a given dimension, etc, at will. One could even, in some cases, banish multiple targets, or banish targets according to similar properties (ie species, moral alignment, etc), at will.
Weaknesses/Limitations (Cons)[]
Banishing may be activated by the user's conscious desire to see the target gone, but the means by which the target is removed is often a preset mode of removal. In some cases, banishing a target means that it will feel an irresistible pulling or dragging sensation against their bodies until they are out of the user's power radius. In other cases, the target may feel an overwhelming pushing or shoving sensation, until they exit the power radius. Banishing may even cause a given location to reject the target like a foreign body; this may cause objects and/or subjects in said location to move away from the target, or cause objects and/or subjects to try to move the target away from the area. More variations of banishment are possible, of course.
Likewise, banishment merely removes an unwanted presence. Unless accompanied by the proper measures, it does not prevent the unwanted presence from returning at a later time (perhaps even immediately after the original banishment, depending on the user's and subject's power levels). In some cases, banishment may even require the user to remain constantly in heavy concentration, or risk the effects of their power being undone.
