Description[]
This is the ability to physically and/or psychically draw technology into oneself to assimilate for personal use.
Uses/Applications (Pros)[]
One with this ability can merge machinery into their skin, to armor the body against damage, at will. In addition, one could adjoin tech to their bones, muscles and/or joints to facilitate greater ease and range of motion, at will. Furthermore, one could meld with machines to fortify internal functions, such as metabolism, digestion, immune responses and/or healing, at will. One could also integrate technology into the brain and/or various sensory systems, to assist with cognitive function and/or perception, at will. One could even mix devices into their anatomy merely to conceal a number of useful weapons and tools from sight, at will.
Weaknesses/Limitations (Cons)[]
The integration of technology always implies an increase in weight (even if it takes up space of a missing body part), but depending on the structure of the machinery, it may also imply a significantly noticeable change in size. Of course, depending on the situation (ie combat or social), this could be beneficial or a liability.
There is also a matter of how much space the technology takes up on the body. Depending on where it is located and how the ability installs it, a new part could hinder otherwise relatively normal anatomical function. Not to mention, the potential for technology to be hacked or infected with viruses or malware (even rogue artificial intelligence or a foul psychic influence...).
